Food poisoning kills seven family members in Zamfara, husband goes crazy.
Suspected food poisoning has claimed the lives of seven (7) members (five children and two wives) of one family at Auki village of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Eye winesses told news sources that the deceased developed stomach pains after eating a meal of ‘tuwon masara’ (corn). Three persons died instantly while the other four gave up the ghost at Bungudu General Hospital.
The head of the deceased family, Mallam Hassan Lawali narrowly escaped death because he was not at home when the meal was prepared. The shock was too much for Mallam Hassan, who has developed a psychiatric disorder as at the time of this report.
