We are unworthy servants. Drop your Entitlement Mentality.
New International Version
7 “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
8 Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’?
9 Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”
We are unworthy servants
Sometimes you feel discouraged to help people because you don’t get the credit you deserve.
Some other times you feel you are entitled to a proper appreciation or kickback for a job that is actually your duty, something you are paid for.
Think about it …yes just think about it.
Someone else is dying for that same position that you have, someone else wishes he is filling in those shoes as the employee in that establishment that you want some to pay money as bribe before assisting people.
In this 2021, I want you to look at every opportunity as a chance to worship God by serving people.
Someone else wishes to be in that position, to be paid or just to even be called a staff of that institution.
Do not have an entitlement mentality. See your services as unto God and not unto man.
After all we are all unworthy servants who were called out of nothing to serve.
