Body of Murdered Iniobong Umoren found, buried in shallow grave, family and police give updates (Videos)

Iniobong Umoren was a young, orphaned Nigerian job-seeker from Akwa Ibom who was lured by an alleged criminal, Uduak Frank Akpan, from Nung Ikono Obio, under the guise of giving her a job.
The young Uniuyo graduate took the bait innocently, was murdered, and buried in a shallow grave by her abductor, according to associate press sources.
Late Iniobong Umoren was said to have gone for a job interview on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at an undisclosed location on Airport Road in the outskirts of Uyo, a state in Nigeria.
About two hours after leaving her close friend, she reportedly made a frantic phone call where she was heard screaming before the call was suddenly ended. Her phone line was switched off ever since, and she never returned home.
Concerned friends and family then engaged Twitter and other social media platforms to see if anyone could help in tracing her whereabouts or any info about her abductor.
24 hours later, individuals and groups on social media have provided sufficient evidence, locations, contacts and almost everything needed to unmask her kidnapper.
These persons also hoped that the info provided will help in finding the missing Iniobong Umoren so that things could return to normalcy for the family.
Uduak Frank Akpan confesses killing Iniobong Umoren
The suspect was alleged to have taken the late Miss Iniobong Umoren to his apartment where an argument ensured and in the process, he used an object to hit her on the head resulting in her death.
He was alleged to have hurriedly buried her in a shallow grave and ran to Oron (another town in the state) to hide.
Following pressure by the Police and Nigerians on social media, the suspect ran back to Uruan from Prob.
The Chairman of Uruan LGA, Surv. Iniobong Ekpeyong was said to have met a family member of the suspect and asked him to bring the accused to him.
When he was brought before the Chairman, Uduak was asked to tell the truth about what actually transpired.
It was at that point that he allegedly confessed to his Local Government Chairman that he killed and buried Iniobong Umoren in a shallow grave.
Following the confession, Surv. Ekpeyong then called the DPO of Uruan LGA and handed over the suspect to the unit for further investigation and prosecution.
Family of Iniobong Umoren dissatisfied with police investigation, want to see sister’s body.
Meanwhile the family of Iniobong Umoren have called on the public and well-meaning individuals to increase the pressure on the police for the release of the corpse of their sister and daughter.
Moreover, they voiced foul play on the whole matter and called on the global community to intervene.
