house passes gun bill 2022: House passes sweeping gun reform package
Brave families who have lived through the pain, horror and heartbreak of gun violence pleaded with lawmakers on Capitol Hill for tighter gun control.
The US lower house then bows to pressure, and passes ‘Protecting Our Kids Act’ gun legislation package.
The US House of Representatives has passed the “Protecting Our Kids Act” 223-to-204 on Wednesday. The gun legislation package includes several proposals including the restriction of sales of large-capacity ammunition magazines and raising the minimum age for the purchase of certain firearms.
The landmark bill is being seen as a “symbolic” gesture as the measure will face difficulties in the senate, Bloomberg and The New York Times report.

If our government can’t do anything after 19 kids are slaughtered and several decapitated it’s time to change who’s in government.

Two children “pulverized” and “decapitated” by gunshot wounds in Uvalde, says the pediatrician who treated them. Those poor children, their poor families. I’m sick to my stomach.

Some days doing this work is especially hard. After hearing that kids were decapitated this is one of those days. I’m so angry and heartbroken.

The obscene destruction wreaked by the AR-15 in the Uvalde shooting "decapitated" some of the children, and Republicans were completely unmoved by that.
